Additional Information:
With PromaSoft AutoResponders (PSAR), you can:
• set up as many databases as you like, to be populated automatically, manually, or by importing or copying from other systems or 3rd party database software
• parse data collected for easy sorting and for seamless merging into forms
• send automated replies or manual one-time messages in HTML without knowing a single line of code
• set simple filters to send out automated emails to only subscribers/contacts that meet certain criteria
• schedule every step of the process, from mailings to running external apps to database backups to downloading web pages to running database system checks to running PSAR scripts to halting PSAR altogether
• include unlimited attachments with your messages
• enable an unlimited number of POP accounts
• send newsletters to specified subscribers at scheduled times
• set specific keywords to pull information from an email to be automatically inserted into your automated reply
PSAR even comes with dial-up support, meaning that you don’t need to maintain a constant connection to the internet in order to make PSAR work for you. It simply connects automatically as it needs to, then disconnects when the necessary task is accomplished (retrieving data, sending emails, etc.)
You can even use PSAR as a mail server.
PromaSoft helps you process payment messages from PayPal, eBay, MoneyBookers, Credit Card companies and other payment processors. And it includes foreign character support.
PSAR will run itself, whether you’re around to supervise or not. It can be set to automatically delete messages you’ve replied to, or save them in an archive for future reference.
The latest version of PromaSoft AutoResponder (Version 2.0034) includes these exciting new features:
• integrated printer support
• multiple instance feature for managing completely different clients on different servers with different databases (though a separate PromaSoft license is required for each “instance”)
• ability to easily design Double Opt-In systems
• new script functionality –write and incorporate your own unique scripts to provide dynamic content
• new startup options
• improved mailing list functionality
• and an added feature for quickly finding specific filters
Worth noting, however, is that - according to the website - this “latest” edition of PSAR was released in late 2003. Other complaints about the software include that the interface is a bit cramped, with popup windows filled with small buttons and smaller text appearing each time you launch a new module. Overall, PSAR is less intuitive than some of the competition – though ultimately just as functional.
PromaSoft AutoResponder comes in two different versions:
• PSAR Lite (67 Euros) – all the functionality of an advanced autoresponder without mailings, database support, and certain restrictions on select features
• PSAR (see below) – unlimited broadcasts, emailings, follow-ups, database support, data extraction and more.
Further, the full version of PSAR comes in 3 different levels:
• Personal (147 Euros) – full functionality for single server with no multiple instance feature
• Professional (287 Euros) – same as the Personal version but with multiple instance feature enabled and priority in customer support
• Enterprise (1397 Euros) – same as the Professional version but with an Enterprise-wide license (for up to 10 servers)
Whichever product you go with, you’ll pay a one-time fee and never be charged again, unless you decide to upgrade to a larger version. It costs:
• 80 Euros to upgrade from Lite to Personal
• 140 Euros to upgrade from Personal to Professional
If you do the math, you’ll notice there’s no cost penalty for getting a small package first and then later upgrading, so you can let your autoresponder grow with your business at your business’s own pace.
PromaSoft hosts an ongoing user forum and even allows programmers to code their own plug-ins for other PromaSoft clients to enjoy. Though the user manual is a dense 200+ pages and it’ll likely take most users a while to feel comfortable using the software to its fullest functionality, support seems easily and readily available to clear up any confusion along the way.
