eFiltrate Review

e-Filtrate creator, Dori Friend cites a Time Magazine Article from June of 2005 that put the number of email messages killed upon arrival at MSN (including Hotmail), Yahoo, Earthlink, and AOL as spam (and “bulk mail”) at 40-70%. The article goes on to note that much of that number turns out to be legitimate mail. So what’s a legitimate mailer to do?

Additional Information:

So, Friend brings us this unique and multi-faceted solution for breaking through spam filters. e-Filtrate provides a suite of email delivery optimization tools for making all your messages spam filter-friendly.

e-Filtrate includes 2 spam content detection systems. The first is based on Spam Assassin’s popularly-used scoring system. You will learn your Spam Assassin total score for each email, as well as get a breakdown of the individual score for each offense (and the exact location in your email where each offense occurs), before you ever risk sending it out. A color-coded graphical scale accompanies your results for easy referencing of your email’s potential for getting through to your addressees. The second spam detector is based on numerous generic databases of trigger words and phrases.

e-Filtrate also includes a trigger word/phrase suggestion tool – compiled with the assistance of 3 copywriting pros – for coming up with alternate words or phrases to those that might cause your email to be flagged as spam (and consequently “killed” – usu. sent to the Trash or Recycle Bin). Get 3-7 suggestions for each “offense”. Much like an ordinary word processor’s spell checker, the suggestion tool allows you to use one of its suggestions, make a change of your own, or continue using the flagged word or phrase.

But at the same time, Friend asserts that it isn’t merely a word or a phrase that has you register high on a spam filter’s radar but the combination of words and phrases. e-Filtrate’s spam checkers therefore also check for these combinations as well as current trends in spam filtration.

Also before you send out any message, have e-Filtrate check 9 separate blacklists to make sure you and your ISP aren’t on any of them. If you’re found on a list, you are told which list and what to do to get taken off of it. You don’t even need to know your IP address to use it. The program will look it up for you. However, you can also manually enter in IP addresses, ISPs, and host names and automatically check them against all 9 lists as well.

e-Filtrate makes it easy to edit your messages again and again, running them through the Spam Checker each time, without the need for a whole lot of unnecessary and annoying cutting and pasting. Spell poorly?  No worries!  e-Filtrate comes with a spell checker included.

It comes with a chunker included too. What’s a chunker?  It permits you to wrap your sentences to fit within any margin specifications you set. Simple, obvious (and quite necessary) functions – import, save, copy, print, and clear – are also included.

e-Filtrate will then test email your messages to mock accounts at every email service provider and some of the smaller ISPs too – to make sure it passes through their unique filtering systems and doesn’t get bounced back. It’ll then calculate your bounce back percentage before you’ve ever had to risk sending your email to a real subscriber.

Using e-Filtrate, then, is a simple 5 step process:

  1. Run your email through its spam checkers

  2. Edit email using alternate words and phrases

  3. Check to see if you’re on any blacklists

  4. Test send your email

  5. If the test is successful, then go ahead and send out your campaign!

This last feature is certainly eyebrow raising if nothing else. e-Filtrate’s Friend bought the reprint rights to top competing spam checker “Filter Breaker” and offers it free of charge to purchasers of e-Filtrate.

Friend’s recommended first step towards thwarting attempts to block and ban your outgoing messages is to download from the e-Filtrate website the free Special Report “The 21 Deadliest Spam Filter Violations”.

But to just skip ahead and buy this sweet little product, it can be yours for $147.00 for one year of access and it comes with a 100% money-back guarantee.

Or get the Gold version for an extra $50 (total $197.00) and get 3 years of use and unlimited updates instead of one, plus Gold members also get the ebook “Insider Secrets of Profitable e-Newsletters” by WordBiz.com’s Debbie Weil.
