Power Management
The Superb DCA2 NOC in McLean, Virginia uses a heavy-duty UPS power supply with a diesel generator backup and the SEA2 West Coast NOC in Tukwila, WA uses 3 parallel UPS systems with a 1.5 Megawatt diesel backup generator.

Self-service management options included with every server also offer one hour/server/month. This includes general hardware issues and network support. Superb Hosting also offers custom-managed options including a "credit" system for you to choose the managed server options that you require to support your servers.
Security and Updates
The NOCs are both staffed by experience network and system administrators, whose sole job is to protect your hardware and your data.
Firewall
Advanced Policy Firewall (APF), a modular, policy-based IP tables system maintained by R-fx Networks, is available for Linux server users.

Most of the prepackaged plans SuperbHosting offers are excellent values, though some may choose to build their own server anyway. You can use a Linux Fedora Core 5 or 6, Free BSD, or Windows 2003 or 2003 Web Edition operating system on a variety of mostly Pentium 4 and Conroe processors. Whichever route you choose, the real fun starts when you peruse the myriad of add-ons that each add power and versatility to your online presence. Far too numerous to list here, a sampling of some of the major ones included: a SATA RAID + 2 Hard Drive for $40 per month more, your favorite control panel (Plesk or cPanel) for an extra $15 per month, a 1 GB RAM upgrade for $15/month or 2 GB for $25, additional IPs for only $1/month, ecommerce functionality and much much more.
