Auction Guides
The products reviewed in this section of our website are all ebooks on how to make money on eBay (and other auction sites). Each of these ebooks boasts a tried and true, replicable and repeatable “System” for maximizing your profits and minimizing your investment of time and energy.
Likewise, each author vows that the information contained in their ebook is unique – that you will not find the same information anywhere else – and they back this up with an assurance that nobody else could possibly offer the same information because their unique “system” was derived all by themselves through sheer trial and error.
How are you to interpret that? Well, on one hand it’s like learning to drive a stick-shift vehicle. There’s only one right way to do it – only one way to operate a stick-shift that’ll get you out of the driveway. And no matter how many people protest that they taught themselves how to do it all by themselves, they all still eventually arrived at the same basic conclusions because a stick-shift vehicle won’t operate any other way.
On the other hand, however, it’s like baking chocolate chip cookies. Everybody’s got their own special recipe and every recipe results in chocolate chip cookies that look, smell, and taste slightly different from one another. To get the type of cookies you desire, you need to find the right recipe for you.
Some of these ebooks will explain how to sell “Information”, usually in the form of ebooks on any subject you choose. Such products require no warehousing, no shipping, and the lowest imaginable startup costs.
Others of these ebooks detail ways to find any kind of product you can imagine at ridiculously low prices and then sell in any economic environment to turn the largest possible profit – even if other people are failing to sell the same product at the same price at the same time. These are certainly intriguing prospects.
While none of the systems reviewed herein are multi-level marketing or affiliate network marketing schemes, all of them work just as well with these kinds of businesses as they do with standard product-focused businesses. And all of them incorporate the option of reselling that same ebook on a commission basis as your product.
There are two possible audiences for this material, and each product will suit one more than the other:
-
The Novice – someone looking for a new and lucrative, part time, home-based business, willing to consider selling on eBay as that business. If you are of this ilk, you’ll first want to review in-depth eBay’s wonderfully thorough Help Section before you consider buying one of these products. That way, you’ll be able to read through the lines as you scour these advertisements, picking out what “features and benefits” being sold are already available for free straight – so to speak – from the horse’s mouth.
-
The Veteran – someone already familiar with buying and selling on eBay, very likely someone who’s already built an eBay-based business and simply wants to learn how to optimize their efforts – increase profits and decrease workload and monetary output. If you are of this ilk, you should know what to look for. You’ll know what you’re lacking – an automated system, a product that sells, better customer-relations and customer-retention methods, etc. You’re more likely to make effective use of he more complex and, possibly, automated systems being sold.
Now, many of these ebooks come with “Bonus Products”. If you are going to purchase only one of the products mentioned herein, it seems logical to consider the one that’s packed with the most free extra stuff. However, we recommend you completely ignore the price values these author-salespeople place on their free bonuses (ie. Special Report worth $477).
These values are so arbitrary as to be utterly ridiculous. You’d do better to judge the products by its description. Does it seem to contain information relevant to you and your needs? When an online informational product is offered to you for free, evaluate it’s content and ignore its reported monetary value.
Just be sure you don’t buy into the get-rich-quick enthusiasm that saturates all of these ebook’s websites (all of them long single-page advertisements written in an appealing and oddly comforting, personal letter style). No matter which product you select, make sure you’re reading through the sales pitch to get to the meat of the product inside.
We’ve certainly tried to help you do that in these reviews. Unfortunately, all of the authors of these ebooks explicitly forbid anyone (that means us) from publicly imparting the information contained in their ebooks (beyond what they tout in their own advertisements, of course), so all we can do is help you sort the hype from the facts.
Fortunately, we’re pretty good at that.
Also quite fortunately, every single one of these products comes with some sort of money-back guarantee. So there’s no risk in trying any or all of them out. For the entrepreneurial-minded, the disciplined and self-motivated, we say “Go for it!”
